Event Details:
Flower pounding is the art of transferring the natural pigment of flowers and plants onto cloth or paper through the act of physically hammering the two mediums together.
Saturday June 24, 10:30am - 12:00pm
Fabric can be placed inside picture frames for unique art pieces and make wonderful homemade gifts. Pounding into watercolor paper can be folded for cards or cut into strips to make bookmarks. Curious on how to take beautiful flowers from your yard or garden and turn them into beautiful patterns on fabric? This is a craft that anyone can do and fun for kids, just be sure that nobody smashes their fingers!
A workshop By Vivian Taormina and Robin Drogin.
