The AP’N3 Film Challenge is a creative competition where participants have three weeks to produce a three-minute film that includes a required theme, prop, location, and line of dialogue that are revealed on Day One of the challenge. This year there are TWO main categories, each with their own distinct requirements and timelines: AP’N3: No Borders and AP’N3: On Location.

In the No Borders category the participants imagine Asbury Park from anywhere in the world; while filming within Asbury Park is a requirement of the On Location category. In each category, completed films are judged by a panel of creatives and the top films will be screened for the public at a Premier Screening Event where prizes are awarded.

The city of Asbury Park is a visually imaginative subject, perfect for filmmakers as inspiration. The timed aspect of the format along with the required elements challenge the teams’ creativity and provides for a more level playing field.
