Join Us on the Road to Defeat Senior Hunger and Isolation
March for Meals is an annual, month-long campaign that commemorates the signing of the Older Americans Act in 1972, which created a national nutrition program for seniors. More than 50 years later, 12 million older Americans face food insecurity and one in three seniors feels lonely. As the only provider of Meals on Wheels in Monmouth County, Interfaith Neighbors delivers over 800 meals to homebound seniors and disabled persons. The March for Meals campaign gives businesses, organizations, governments and volunteers an opportunity to support homebound seniors and veterans through our work.
