Homeownership is the path to establishing generational wealth and stability. For too long, many people in our communities have been excluded from homeownership. Interfaith Neighbors is working to change this.

Homeownership also affects neighborhood and community stability. In communities with a majority of homes being owner-occupied, home values are higher, neighborhoods are safer, and incomes rise. Creating more homeownership opportunities on the Westside of Asbury Park not only impacts those new homeowners, but everyone who lives in the community.

Access to affordable home ownership is a challenge in Monmouth County, in New Jersey and across our nation. Rents have been on the rise and since the COVID health pandemic, for sale housing prices have also dramatically increased. West Side Asbury Park and Neptune residents continue to express concern with the lack of housing affordability. Interfaith Neighbors strives to invest in the community and create an expanding support system for the neighborhood, allowing those who are struggling in the current housing market to purchase an affordable home and take a significant step towards generational wealth and a strong community.

Over the years Interfaith Neighbors has acquired homes and vacant lots across the Westside neighborhood of Asbury Park and either renovated those homes or built new housing. These homes are offered for purchase to low- and moderate-income purchasers. To date, we have been a part of helping 45 low- and moderate-income families become homeowners.

We look forward to helping more dreams come true.

There are currently no projects underway or available homes for sale. Interfaith Neighbors is always on the lookout to acquire land or properties that can be turned into a homeownership opportunity.
