The Allentown Boys Soccer Program each season selects different charities and organizations to support. This year we have selected our local Meals on Wheels program because we want to have a more direct impact on our community. We believe Meals on Wheels is a wonderful cause that we are proud to support this year.
Meals on Wheels Monmouth County, provided by Interfaith Neighbors, delivers 1,100 meals every weekday to senior citizens all across Monmouth County. For a homebound senior citizen, these meals bring more than just nourishment. Meals on Wheels helps seniors stay independent and in their own homes longer. The knock on the door from a Meals on Wheels volunteer also provides companionship and a daily safety check for seniors who live alone.
Please consider helping us in supporting our local Meals on Wheels program with a donation today. The average cost to prepare and deliver a meal is $6. So consider donating the cost of meal or two, or sponsoring meals for a senior for a whole week!
