The Springwood Ave. Heritage Walk

Springwood Avenue was a hub of the Asbury Park community with Black-owned businesses like grocery stores, tailors, drug stores, restaurants, and of course, jazz clubs. Springwood Ave. Rising, an initiative of Interfaith Neighbors, is on a mission to honor the past, celebrate the present, and prepare for the future. Learn more about the rich history lost during the civil unrest in July 1970 at our virtual Springwood Ave. Heritage Walk!
