Kula After School – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Join us anytime between 3:30 and 5pm.

This weeks topic: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Reducing the amount of waste that we throw out everyday is so important and
beneficial to the planet we live on! In this class we will discuss the importance of
recycling, the proper ways to recycle, and programs that help you to recycle in
the local area. We will also put on our engineering hats to come up with ways to
repurpose common recycled items.

Kula After School is an afterschool program that provides local teenagers with a fun STEM-based educational experience in a positive and inspirational setting.

Ages 12-16

The program is lead by Mrs. Natalie, who is a science teacher at Asbury Park High School and is currently seeking a Master’s Degree in plant Biology at Rutgers University. Natalie is a gardener herself, and takes a strong interest in small space growing, herbal plant care, and heirloom gardening.
