Event Details:
We welcome you to the Kula Urban Farm for tours of our hydroponic greenhouse and gardens, as well as a plant sale and activities for the kids, all day long.
We will also have presentations by:
Ray Pogwist on Beekeeping, 11am-3pm.
Brynn Mosello on Mazza's Single Stream Recycling Facility, at 1pm.
Ever wondered if an item should go in the trash or if it can be recycled? This is your chance to get all the answers. Mazza now receives all of you recycling at their single stream facility in Freehold. Their expert will explain you how they sort and what will end up where.
Our bees need our help. Local beekeeper Ray Pogwist knows all too well. He manages several hives in the area and loves to share his knowledge about how to keep bees and how to make sure that they won't go extinct.
We've been busy starting starter plants for our plant sale, we'll have different varieties of vegetable plants like kale and lettuce but also strawberries and much more.
To make sure you can shop and learn, we'll have some activities to keep the kids entertained. Natalie Hayes, our resident teacher, will set up shop for the day to make it complete.
No registration required.
