Kula for Kids will take a look at energy; how it is made and where it comes from.

A class by Miss Kelly Stone:
We will dive into different types of energy and decide which types are less harmful to the environment. We will learn about an island that harnessed the wind to change their world through Allan Drummonds book Energy Island. The Kula Kids will then use what they learned to create their own wind powered vehicle from a variety of recycled materials.

Kelly Stone is a K-5 STEM teacher for Long Branch Public Schools.  She is an advocate for environmental rights and educating students in all aspects of climate change education. She heartedly believes that our children have to power to change the world!

Participants are asked to keep distance, wash/sanitize hands and masks will be required indoors / recommend outdoors if distance cannot be maintained.
