Learn How To Grow Microgreens. These nutritious flavor bombs make the perfect garnish. Microgreens -a so called super food- are sprouts of vegetables like mustard, radish and cilantro. They can be used to garnish salads, soups, sandwiches or whole dinner plates. Microgreens are super nutritious and bursting with flavor. Since Microgreens are harvested when they are a mere 2" tall they can be grown pretty much anywhere within little over a week. This class will be taught live at the Kula Urban Farm by Douglas Glander from your local hydroponics store on 3329A Doris Ave., Ocean, NJ (across rt. 35 from Wegmans). There is a $20.- Microgreen Starter Kit available on their website. They can ship it to you for $5 or provide curbside pickup. All outgoing orders will be disinfected. Join in: On the Kula Urban Farm Youtube Channel, this Thursday at 6:30PM. To be able to ask questions during the live stream, you will need to register a Youtube account so you can join the live chat. It is no more than a push of a button if you already have a Gmail account. You are also welcome to email your questions to [email protected]. It will be the 3rd time that we offer this workshop. We usually offer workshops like this one in person at our greenhouse, however due to the current restrictions caused by the Coronavirus we'll start offering some of our workshops online.
