Elderberry cutting: Sambucus canadensis
Rooted Elderberry cuttings can be planted directly in the ground. Elderberries grow in sun and tolerate wet soils but can also grow in part shade. Plants mature in about 3 years and grow up to 15 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Plants produce white flower clusters in June/July and dark purple berries that feed birds and humans in late August. This species is native to Eastern north America.
