The Rental & Mortgage Assistance Program is Interfaith Neighbors’ founding program. For over 35 years, this program has been working to keep people in their homes and prevent homelessness during times of financial instability.
After a qualifying interview, those accepted may be able to receive assistance with rent arrears, mortgage payments or security deposits. We screen hundreds of potential clients each year, giving referrals to those who do not meet our eligibility criteria. Over 300 families are assisted by this program every year.
Acceptance into the Rental and Mortgage Assistance Program is determined on completion of an intake assessment and application. A determination is typically made within seven to ten days.
