Joe Marmora founded Interfaith Neighbors, Inc. as a non-profit agency in 1988 with support from several Monmouth County congregations. The concept and intent of the agency upon its founding was – and still is – best and simply described as “neighbors helping neighbors.”
Joe devoted almost 40 years of his life to helping the most vulnerable among us and viewed these years as his own later-in-life ministry. With his personal warmth and great compassion along with that ever present infectious smile, Joe touched and improved the lives of many, many families and individuals in Monmouth County over the last four decades.
With the ongoing support of many who were touched in some way by Joe or inspired by his good works, we here at Interfaith Neighbors are privileged to advance and enhance Joe’s vision on a daily basis. We miss you dearly, Joe, but rest assured, your work and legacy live on….
