Event Details:
This workshop will explain how you can use free or low cost resources to supply your garden's soil with more nutrition, beneficial microbiology, and improve its water holding capacity. You'll learn how to build and maintain a compost pile the right way to reap the many benefits of composting!
The class will be taught in our hydroponic greenhouse. After the class we will go outside (weather permitting) to visit our compost pile. So please dress warm -and for those who like to participate- we will do some work tilling and sieving compost. Please wear old clothes/bring gloves if you would like to help out.
Feel free to bring your food scraps for our community compost pile. Visit our website for more info.
