Event Details:
Participants will learn a hydroponic growing technique that is easy to put together. Each participant will create a passive Kratky system to grow herbs such as basil. In addition to the Kratky system, participants will learn how to sprout seeds in a jar that will be ready to eat in a few days
A workshop by Teresa Maltz.
Teresa is an avid gardener and teacher who loves to give back to the community. Currently, she works as a Job Coach for the HOPE Program at Allaire Community Farm. She has worked as an Educator for a number of years and has been a registered Horticultural Therapist through the American Horticultural Therapy Association since 2008. Her diverse background includes psychology, education, holistic health, environmental activism, and horticulture. Inspiring people through nature and horticulture is a goal she strives to accomplish.
