This weeks topic: Hydroponic Gardening
Want to grow plants, but don’t want the mess of pots and soil? Then hydroponic gardening may be the right growing method for you! This workshop teaches what hydroponics is, the pros to using hydroponic techniques, and how to create a hydroponic growing system right at home.
Kula After School is an afterschool program that provides local teenagers with a fun STEM-based educational experience in a positive and inspirational setting.
Ages 12-16
The program is lead by Mrs. Natalie, who is a science teacher at Asbury Park High School and is currently seeking a Master’s Degree in plant Biology at Rutgers University. Natalie is a gardener herself, and takes a strong interest in small space growing, herbal plant care, and heirloom gardening.
