Event Details:
A class by Kelly Louis
This class will focus on the beauty of a flower. Using the work of Vincent van Gogh as a guide, students will learn a technique for drawing with the most accessible yet underappreciated art tool—the crayon! All materials will be provided but students may bring a favorite flower to the class.
Kelly Louis returns to New Jersey with a Master of Arts in Teaching and 22 years experience as an educator in San Francisco, California. Her lessons inspire and challenge students to learn techniques from other artists’ styles and transform them into their own unique creative process and pieces. Kelly believes children’s creative work should not be graded or judged, but used as a way to help them experience and explore the natural world around and within them. A recurring theme in her work is “Nature is The Muse.”
