Event Details:
Every other Tuesday, 1:30 - 3:00pm
In each class we’ll explore different aspects of farming, gardening, food and nutrition or nature.
This week we'll pot a Succulent and work in the garden beds.
The kids will pot up their own succulent to bring home and learn how to tend to the growing plants in the garden. We will talk about how to identify common weeds and how to remove them without herbicides.
We will tour the garden to find nutritious plants that can get overlooked to create a salad.
To complement the salad, we will harvest herbs to make a fresh tea.
The classes are generally geared toward ages 4-12, but all are welcome as we discuss topics that some explore into high school.
