Event Details:
The Kula Farm welcomes Chef Darren Monroe, former chef/owner at Cafe Diem in Toms River and currently creating creative vegan dishes at White Chapel Projects. He is a plant based diet educator and organizes community events that connects people with their food, the natural world and each other.
Some people think you need to fully eschew the term meat to eat plant based, but we disagree. Join us for this beautiful 4 course spring gathering; a “wedding” of locally grown vegetables and perfectly prepared plant based meat.
The best of both worlds, ‘meat’ and veg lovers dinner at the Kula Urban Farm.
Menu:
- Spring salad with Kula Greens topped with King “Oyster” Skewers from Two River Mushrooms.
- “Pork” Wonton Soup
- Korean Inspired BBQ with Vegetable and “Egg” Fried Rice.
- Tiramisu courtesy of Mollie Mack’s Vegan Cakery
Tickets
Doors open at 5:30, dinner promptly served at 6pm.
There usually is plenty of parking available in the parking lot next to the farm.
Comfortable shoes are suggested, the farm has mulch and gravel walkways.
This event is BYOB so don’t forget to bring your favorite beer/wine.
